Mason\u003cbr\u003ePearson combs are Hand Made from the finest celluloid material in the world.\u003cbr\u003eThis is the same material used to make designer costume jewelry, hair\u003cbr\u003eornaments, and eyewear. Look carefully at the “tortoise” pattern of our combs.\u003cbr\u003eYou will notice, the “3D’ effect of the “shell” pattern. This is the result of\u003cbr\u003ean internationally patented process that replicates natural tortoise shell.\u003cbr\u003eThe “plastic” comes to the factory in Switzerland from Italy in a sheet, where\u003cbr\u003eit is die-cut into general the general shapes of the comb styles. From that\u003cbr\u003epoint, until the comb is finished, everything is done by hand. Each tooth is\u003cbr\u003ecut, one at a time, on a special saw. The comb is then tumbled in a polishing\u003cbr\u003edrum to smooth the surface. The next step is hand polishing to remove all\u003cbr\u003eburrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
